Weekly Digest (23/11/12)
News about The Hub Conference, an update about fire safety, and a few other bits ‘n’ pieces. It’s another Weekly Digest.
The Hub is fully booked!
We’re excited that our first ever conference for those on their journey into ministry is fully booked. That’s 148 individuals, including 44 spouses - but not including our sizable team of speakers and other leaders. We’re sorry for anyone who has missed out but we have started a waiting list which you can put your name on by contacting Rebecca Pullen via our contact form.
Please do be praying for The Hub Conference. We see this as an extremely strategic initiative for helping more people navigate their way into Independent church ministry. Find out more about The Hub Conference here.
Whilst still on the conference theme, this year’s series of regional day conferences are almost at an end. We’ve had eleven so far, with the final one to take place in Worcester on November 29th.
On Tuesday Richard Underwood shared some of his reflections on the 2012 regional conferences and introduced the theme for 2013. You can read all here: Caring for God’s Church
We need more photos!
Sorry to sound like a stuck record, but we really want to get hold of more photos of FIEC churches. Specifically we want group shots of the whole church with people smiling at the camera (preferably not everyone sat in pews, and definitely not just a picture of the building!). If you do have any that might be suitable then drop us a message using our contact form. And if you don’t have a photo of your church family then maybe now is the time to take one!
The Practical Services team have updated our article on fire safety for churches. Discounted fire extinguisher maintenance rates are now available for churches and the article now includes details of this. You can find it here: Who is responsible for fire safety in your church building?
