A new church for Shepherd’s Bush

Church planting is about going into communities where the good news of Jesus Christ is not heard and establishing gospel-shaped congregations of believers.

This is what Reuben Hunter is doing in London’s Shepherd’s Bush. Reuben was on the church staff at Spicer Street, St Albans, but felt called by God to move into west London and establish a new church known as Trinity West.

The video on this page gives you some idea of what challenges are involved. Maybe you know of folk who live near this area and could support the work – or maybe this video will prompt you to think of areas near where you live and challenge you to consider new ways of communicating and modelling the gospel. If you’re a church leader, maybe you could even screen this video when the church gathers and start people thinking about the most effective ways to share the good news of Christ.

We want FIEC to become a family of churches known for having big, gospel hearts; passionate about reaching into communities in God-glorifying ways; hungry to know how they might serve and bless the men and women around them. If you have stories to tell – or show – then please let us know and in future weeks we’ll post up more videos and blogs featuring churches in action.
