Ministry is hard work. Pastors and other gospel workers are fallen people seeking to help fallen people, and there are plenty of discouragements along the way. However, Paul urges Timothy to be strong in / strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus (2 Tim 2v1).
This is one of twelve regional day conferences that we’re running in 2013. To see them all please click here.
Before the Lord Jesus calls us to love his sheep, he wants to love us. This delightful truth will be at the heart of our 2013 regional day conferences as we explore how the Lord’s grace is both the source of strength and a wellspring of joy amidst the ups and downs of gospel work.
In previous years our regional conferences were designed solely for pastors. However we recognise the growing number of other ministry roles in our churches, so this year we’re throwing open the doors to any gospel workers in our churches who feel they would benefit. We also understand the often essential ministry of a pastor’s wife, so at each venue we will be running a session specifically for them.
Alongside teaching on the conference theme from one of the FIEC directors, each conference will include a sermon given by a local pastor, an opportunity to hear about and pray for gospel initiatives in the area, as well as time over lunch to chat and build friendships.
Fix one of the dates in your diary now so that you can be involved in nourishing and sustaining your brothers and sisters – and benefit from being strengthened in your own life and ministry.
Programme
Each conference will begin at 10am with tea and coffee, and will finish around 3:30pm. Lunch will be provided.
